FALLBROOK PEOPLE TO PEOPLE SERVICES - ABOUT US

Fallbrook People to People Services provides Fallbrook and nearby communities with employment referral services at no cost to the employer or the employee.

With the exception of the Office Manager (Don Kinner) and a part time Healthcare Service Coordinator (Lawrene Thomas), People to People is staffed by accomplished volunteers with a variety of professional backgrounds.  New volunteers are always welcomed.  For further information about volunteering call or stop by the office during business hours.

Everyone in search of a job is helped, but special attention is given to young people entering the work force, mothers with dependent children, women re-entering the work world, the physically disadvantaged and retired persons seeking supplemental income.

Job seekers complete a detailed application after which they are interviewed and evaluated.  They are then required to provide both professional and personal written references.  When necessary, they are directed to other community resources that may enhance their skills and make them more employable.

Employers are required to provide detailed job descriptions including wage information.  When asked, a volunteer will help the prospective employer determine the market wage for a particular job.  Prospective employees interview for the job subject to the specified wage.

The employment referral service is provided at no cost to either the employer or the employee.  All wage payments are strictly between the employer and employee. 

Since its inception in 1981, over 12,400 jobs have been identified and filled.  In many cases our (often elderly or incapacitated) clients are able to find affordable home health care, housekeeping, and home maintenance assistance that they would otherwise be unable to locate.   At the same time people willing and able to work are able to find employment.  Many local businesses also take advantage of our services to staff sales, service, office and maintenance positions.

A Home Visit Program has been established to follow-up with selected elderly residents to insure that proper and needed care is being provided.  A phone call is all that’s required to arrange a home visit and there is no charge for this service.

Fallbrook People to People Services also participates in community events such as the Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase, Fallbrook Healthcare District Health Fair and various nonprofit collaborations.

Fallbrook People to People Services has been recognized in the United States Congressional Record for its contributions to north San Diego county communities.  Fallbrook People to People Services is a member of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce.
